FEDER Community Funds: Use of recycled wood waste as energy input in Fresno Metal’s lacquering lines.
Company: Fresno Metal, S.L.U.
Project: Malasa 3R: Use of recycled wood waste as energy input in Fresno Metal’s lacquering lines.
Description and objective: Installation and adaptation of a biomass boiler to the lacquering train lines as a complementary calorific contribution to the gas burners of the ovens, fed by the wood waste generated by Grupo Malasa, thus allowing an improvement in energy efficiency through savings in gas consumption.
Result: The use of biomass to replace gas as an auxiliary energy source for the coating train led to a minimization of 571 tons of CO2 per year.
Financial support: Community Funds ERDF and National Energy Efficiency Fund (IDAE).
