A few months ago, at Grupo Malasa we finished the first phase of renovation for the new 4-star Hotel Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort, which has 372 rooms and 148 suites and is located next to Ancla beach, in the Costa Teguise of the island. This will be HIP’s first resort that combines sports, leisure and gastronomy.
Our colleagues at Noa Madera were in charge of manufacturing and installing custom-made furniture and elements, exclusively for the property, for common areas such as the lobby, and the new Oasis area, which includes a new swimming pool with a pool bar.
HIP explained in a press release that “The common areas have been designed seeking a balance between a holiday hotel and a place of active leisure. It is a resort that responds to the demand of families, group of friends and couples who seek a balance between well-being, sports and a wide range of gastronomic and leisure spaces.”

Once the entire renovation process has been completed, the Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort will have 808 rooms and a wide range of sports: Olympic pool, hyperbaric chambers, sports rooms and physiotherapy or personal trainer service and a CrossFit training area, among others.
